Our Facilities and Room Hire
Main Hall
The Main Hall is a well lit room with parquet flooring, measuring 10.7m x7.7 m. It has a capacity of 70 - 80 seated theatre style, 50 seated at tables and up to 25 for activities such as exercise, games and dance etc.
There is a small curtained stage ( 5.3mx 3.6m) which can be used by hirers but it also doubles as a storage area and would not be wholly suitable for drama productions.
The separate fully fitted kitchen includes a fridge, an electric cooker with a halogen hob, (there are suitable pans available for use on the hob), a microwave, kettle, crockery and cutlery.
There are two unisex toilets on either side of the entrance lobby. One is fully accessible for people with disabilities and the other has baby changing facilities.
The hall has a music licence from the Performing Rights Society which enables hirers to play recorded music. There are no WI Fi facilities.
The hall is centrally heated, fitted with a fire alarm system and has disabled access.
Small Hall
The Small Hall comprises a single room measuring 8.1mx 4.9m. It includes a small kitchen area with kettle, crockery and cutlery to enable the provision of refreshments. It is ideal as a committee room and has a capacity of 25 seated or 18 seated at 3 tables. The room is served by a single disabled accessible toilet (2.3mx1.7m)
Storage
For hirers who use the hall on a regular basis we endeavour to enable the provision of secure storage facilities for their equipment but space is limited and we cannot guarantee this will be possible for all new bookings.
Garden
There are grassed areas on both sides of the access path which can be used by hall users. These can be used for children’s games, garden parties and are suitable for bouncy castles etc
Parking
Unfortunately there are no parking facilities at the Hall.
The most suitable street parking is on nearby Birchitt Road. There are also parking spaces outside the shops, opposite the Hall.
